HE IS INDEED THE KING

Baca: John 12: 12-19

"You can see for yourself that you are not at all successful, Lo and behold, all over the world to come follow him." (John 14: 19)

Bacaan tahunan: Judges 8-9

This Memorial Day, Palm Sunday when Jesus was welcomed like a King by many in Jerusalem with cheers and wave palm leaves (verses 12-13). If it was anyone really realize that Jesus is Lord, King over the whole universe? We can't know for sure. The Bible records the drammatica was given because Jesus was just resurrect the dead (verse 17). Maybe they're hoping to see more demonstration of the power of the "King".
In the midst of a hectic mass there is also a group of Pharisees chirps that sounded frustrated. "Look at yourself, you are not successful." My ass is not successful? According to John, this group has always tried to find Jesus, trying to catch the mistake and kills him (see article 7: 28; 8: 3-6, 13; 11: 47, 57). They do not want people to follow, much less me-King-the right of Jesus. However, their attempts always fail. Reflecting on all that John realised that Jesus, the son of God, having control over the world. He noted that Jesus act according to "his time" (see article 7: 30; 8: 20), rather than as human beings.
Yes, not a human being who made Jesus is King. Like it or not, recognised or not, Jesus is Lord, a King who deserves to be worshipped all the universe. His arrival and reception in Jerusalem had been prophesied hundreds of years earlier (Zechariah 9: 9; Psalm 118: 26). Students come to fulfill the prophecy that without them even knowing (verse 16). In fact, the Pharisees celetukan "all over the world come to follow him" would be true (Philippians 2: 9-11). How far will the introduction of Jesus as the King made a difference in your life and mine? -ELS
