HALF OBEDIENCE

Baca: 1 Samuel 15:1-28

... I brought Agag, king of Amalek, but the people themselves have kutumpas Amalekites (1 Samuel 15:20)

Bacaan tahunan: Galatians 1-3

What are the consequences if we do not do God's bidding with all your heart? Of course, what we do will not be pleasing in His sight. One time, God orders Saul to attack the Amalekites and destroy them without exception. Saul was to kill all the Amalekites. Only, he leaves one person, namely the king Agag (verse 8). Similarly, he let the people "rescue" the sheep and oxen best with the pretext offered to God. What is the result of the half obedience of Saul? God rejected Saul as king, and gave the job to others. Not fair to God? Is not only one person left alive? What does it mean one person compared to thousands of the Amalekites who had killed by Saul? What does it mean a "small sin" than anything spectacular that Saul had done to destroy the Amalekites?

It is here the problem! The half obedience is never deign to God-because it is the same as disobedience. Do not think God is impressed by the might of Saul who has destroyed thousands of the Amalekites. God does not know the term compromise. God wants total obedience.

Is God pleased with our big offerings, our spectacular service and full of miracles, while we still have sin in my heart? Big mistake if we think that God would nod happy for our labors in the ministry. Obey totally and leave sin now - PK

OBEY GOD HALF-HEARTEDLY IS TANTAMOUNT TO FAILING TO COMPLY
