Ahead of Christmas, the congregation and church activists usually busy with various activities. Whereas in December should be the weeks of Advent, the time to look forward to the coming of Jesus Christ, the Savior who redeemed the sins of mankind. The moments in which we contemplate and reflect on our lives full of sin, and horror that would befall God's punishment due to sin. So, should we not rush to cover the preparation of our hearts to await his coming.

Reading this day contains the promise of God to restore His people. The promise of recovery is addressed to the rest of believers, who was in exile. God, the Creator and Owner of all things, will act to liberate and restore His people. What is interesting here is the response of God's people. They welcomed the restoration of it with cheers, with joy and gladness that meet their grief and lamented that went away (verse 11).

Let us wait for the Lord on Christmas Day by taking a stance like the people of Israel in God's welcome. Welcome the coming of the Lord Jesus with enthusiasm and joy. Furthermore, with the conviction of faith that only He is able to solve the problem of human sin. That's why need a lot of careful preparation in the Christmas rush.
