Farming and planting vegetables, there may be pests and weeds that interfere. Trading in the market, there may be unhealthy competition that harms. Having children, there may be difficulties from childbirth and the challenges of raising them. There are always difficult things in life even though there are still good things that the Lord gives.

Human life changed completely after falling into sin when they ate the fruit of knowledge of good and evil, which was forbidden by the Lord. After humans, women, and snakes blamed each other, then the Lord spoke to the snake, humans, and women. The snake will crawl on its belly and eat dust all the days of its life. Women will suffer greatly during pregnancy, and pain in childbirth. Humans will toil in seeking food from the ground all their days because there are thorns and thistles there, by the sweat of their brow they will seek food until they eventually die. So many hardships that the Lord allowed as a result of their transgressions.

Life is no longer easy and we cannot deny it. Every day there are difficulties we face, and sadness and sorrow often occur. However, let us remember the promise of the Lord that the offspring of the woman will crush the head of the serpent, namely Christ who brings salvation and forgiveness for our sins so that even though there are still hardships, we live in peace with the Lord, before finally entering into eternity with Him later on. --ANT/www.renunganharian.net
